As a child, Mimi B. Rose sought refuge in imaginary worlds where warrior princesses won battles against bullies and grand wizards and talking beavers were around every corner. As a young adult, she threw herself into academic studies and made her way up the ivory tower, where she still teaches college students how to write and think. But as she grew older, the tower grew colorless and started crumbling, and the voices outside clamored for change.
 

She looked up at the moon and remembered the days when she believed in her dreams.
 

She sent a prayer to the moon goddess. What were her dreams? What did she believe in?
 

As a teacher, she had seen dozens of young women who needed support and encouragement to believe in themselves. As a friend and family member, she knew many women who were engrossed in families and work and their many responsibilities to their communities. And as a reader, she knew that books and stories were powerful tools for emotional connection and embracing new ideas.
 

So she screwed up her courage and climbed down from the tower. She started listening and talking, connecting and sharing in communities. And she wrote stories of women who find their strength and learn they are good enough. Women who take risks, find their purpose, and fall in love.
 

She started writing Happily Ever Afters to create inspiring stories where truth and justice and fairness rule. Stories of a better world that can encourage readers to seek their greatness and to choose love over hate.
